Surfbreak wishes to congratulate all the people and organisations that have opposed and protested Trans-Tasman Resources’ application for seabed mining, that was turned down by the Environmental Protection Agency last week. In particular Kiwis Against Seabed Mining has been a major player in keeping the issue of seabed mining a current one, mobilising communities and countering with strong legal arguments.

This is a good example that, as a collective, standing up for what you believe in can have positive results!
